Pricing, workspaces and billing.

The operational differences between Personal, Pro Workspace and Institutional.

Yes. When you register, KaiperKit creates a free personal workspace with one seat for organizing your own research.

Personal is an individual workspace. Pro is a separate workspace with contracted capacity, advanced features, roles and assignments. Pro applies to the workspace and does not convert the user's entire account.

No. The purchase flow creates a separate Pro Workspace while keeping your free personal workspace.

The checkout multiplies the price for your selected billing cycle by the number of seats. You can purchase a Pro Workspace from 1 seat and increase its capacity later. Published prices do not include VAT.

Yes. Capacity increases are applied immediately with prorated billing in Stripe. Reductions cannot go below the number of existing members and are scheduled for the end of the current billing period.

The owner or an admin can cancel automatic renewal. The workspace keeps Pro access until the end of the already paid billing period, and renewal can be reactivated while the subscription remains active.

In that case, Institutional is worth considering. Capacity, number of workspaces and billing conditions are defined through an institutional agreement rather than the public Pro checkout.
